OBJECTIVE:To efficiently manage and account all financial activities, processes and systems in the finance department. Providing management with transparent and reliable management information. Furthermore, to offer such management that (strategic) objectives of the organization are achieved.REPORTS TO:Chief Financial Officer NL, General Manager US, NAFTA Financial ManagerSCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability and eagerness to learn AWL financial processes and procedures in order to grow and develop into Finance Manager roleAbility to be part of a global team by effectively communicating and building relationships with others from different cultures, values, and systemsSets out priorities and verifies whether personnel, resources and information are availableEnsures compliance to local financial laws and regulationsManage all accounting and financial activities.Create reports and financial statements for both internal and external use.Participate in special projects in different areasExperience managing and developing a teamStrong general accounting skillsKnowledge of GAAPGeneral US Federal and State tax knowledgeUnderstand project financial controlsStrong verbal and written communications skills with different departments in order to achieve reliable project forecastManage relationships with auditors, financial institutions and corporate officeComplete performance reviewsKnowledge of warehouse operationsExperience with inventory controlCompliance with statutory (financial) regulationsBudgeting, monitoring and forecasting financial figuresProject controllingAnalyse bottlenecks and advising in business improvementsCoordinating financial information with the needs of the organizationPreparing periodic internal and external reportsPreparing the financial statements, annual reports and financial paragraphs of the policy planAssessing the tax position with regard to corporation taxInitiating initiatives to resolve financial and administrative bottlenecksThe efficient deployment of employees within planning and budgetEFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH: The Chief Financial Officer/General Manager about financial activities, project progress and (interim) financial project results The Business Unit Manager about general and financial affairs and the general business policy The external and internal auditor, about the financial statements and annual accounts The bank, about financing and investments The tax authorities about taxes Consultants, the Supervisory Board and the General Meeting of Shareholders, about financial affairs Group Management, with regard to finance activities Local management of major shareholdings, about the development of the Finance departmentWRITTEN REPORTS: Creating reports and financial statements for both internal and external use Managing financial booking systems Board of directors AWL Group, monthly Supervisory Board, periodicallyEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Finance; Minimum (5) years accounting experience; Experience with percentage of completion revenue. Business exposure to custom manufacturing/machine building/or services.LANGUAGE SKILLS: EnglishMANAGE OTHERS: YesCLASSIFICATION: Full TimeTRAVEL: Yes; Occasional local and international (Europe/Mexico operations), as needed; Passport required
