Summary: The Senior Bankruptcy Specialist of the Secured BK Team is
responsible for daily delegation of work to the Secured Bankruptcy
Team as well as providing administrative support to the Manager of
the Team. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Secured
Bankruptcy. Roles & Responsibilities: Receive, update and review
bankruptcy information daily. Research accounts using PACER
(bankruptcy database), AIS, trustee sites and other outside systems
as well as internal systems. Prepare and file Proofs of Claim and
Transfers of Claim with the bankruptcy courts by scheduled
deadline. Ensure that pre and post-petition payment tracking is set
up correctly in the ILS system. Receive and document all systems as
to any bankruptcy correspondence received pertaining to the
collateral. Monitor accounts for payments in accordance with the
bankruptcy plan to include trustee and post-petition payments.
Contact trustee, debtor’s attorney, or debtor (when appropriate) to
facilitate timely pre and post-petition payments. Process and track
plan objections, claim objections, motions for relief and
adversaries when necessary Ensure proper treatment of Company owned
and client accounts in the bankruptcy case. Perform discharge
reviews to determine any lien release requirements, accounting
adjustments, and/or collection restrictions that are appropriate
post-bankruptcy. Oversee team operations from a holistic
perspective, ensuring effective workflow, coverage, prioritization,
and deadline management across the team. Serves as the primary
point of contact between management and internal/external teams to
resolve issues, clarify processes, and support decision-making.
Delegates and prioritizes work to ensure urgent matters are
addressed timely while maintaining balanced workloads. Provides day
to day guidance and support, including troubleshooting complex
issues, answering questions, and offering informal coaching and
feedback. Trains new hires and supports onboarding; provides
cross-training and support to other teams (including Phone Team /
DR). Conduct quarterly training to ensure accuracy, consistency,
and compliance with procedures. Proactively identifies and
escalates workflow or operational issues, monitoring deadlines,
reports, and all bankruptcy-related queues. Manages and monitors
all bankruptcy queues, including: Assigned & Unassigned Research
Assigned & Unassigned Discharge Review OnBase BOSS Secured
Bankruptcy Email Future Bar Date Queue Ensures deadlines are met
and work does not remain idle in queues, including Discharge
Reviews, POC Research, and pending bar dates. Performs audits and
quality reviews prior to escalation to ensure accuracy,
consistency, and compliance with procedures. Review and Dispute
defects from internal audit department. Ensures uniform
documentation, notes, and adherence to established processes across
the team. Conducts monthly internal audits and identifies
opportunities for continuous process improvement. Develops and
implements process enhancements to improve efficiency and team
workflow (e.g., shared and team calendars). Tracks team
productivity and performance; prepares reports and provides status
updates as needed. Review Weekly Direct Pay reports and
end-of-month production and performance metrics. Maintains,
updates, and manages work instructions; communicates all changes
clearly and in a timely manner to the team. Coordinates schedules,
meetings, and coverage plans to ensure operational continuity.
Coaches representatives on performance gaps and process adherence.
Pays outstanding TOC filing fees as required. Perform discharge

Bankruptcy experience preferred Legal Experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to
multi-task by maintaining a daily work list in addition to special
projects Proven organizational skills, including the ability to
prioritize duties, track tasks, follow-up on outstanding items
Excellent work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Must
demonstrate leadership skills Good computer and internet skills
Additional Requirements if moving internally from a Specialist II
position: Must be in current bankruptcy role for 12 months Must
have mastered all of the critical skills for the various
departments in the Bankruptcy Group Educational Requirements:
