Job Duties and Responsibilities: SUMMARY Responsible for supporting
production operations in all aspects of engineering functions,
including design, specify and integrate engineered solutions to
receiving, production, shipping, and warehouse operations. In
addition, this position also requires leading and directing
technicians that support these functions. The team is responsible
for projects from inception through deployment on new product and
equipment implementation. It also includes establishing work
instructions, maintaining product BOM and warehouse locators,
design and layout of facility, data tracking, root cause analysis,
quality control, and ergonomic and safety compliance. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Works with
vendors and manufacturers to design and develop products and
implement a cost-effective design. Plans and implements research
methodology and procedures related to engineering projects.
Prepares and analyzes technical drawings, specifications, and
layouts to ensure installations and operations conform to standards
and customer requirements. Performs detailed calculations to
compute and establish manufacturing, installation, and maintenance
standards and specifications.Works in coordination with facilities
personnel in the installation, maintenance, and testing activities
to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer
requirements. Estimates cost of labor, materials, equipment,
construction, etc.; prepares reports. Develop engineering standards
for the operation.Create work instructions for operators.Create and
maintain facility and cell layouts.Assignments may include
cross-functional responsibility and may be across disciplines.
Maintain safety requirements of operations. Perform analysis of
operations to safety criteria and develop corrective actions to
improve safety performance. Perform analysis of operations to
identify opportunities and improve quality of product, throughput
of operation, and reduce scrap/rework due to self-induced product
damage. Identify root cause of these issues, and implement
solutions that address and prevent these. Review operational
processes; identify proper safety requirements, and ergonomic work
cell design. Perform time studies and identify work pattern
solutions. Data mine databases and spreadsheets to track
performance and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
Support launch of new product and processes, develop and document
process steps and controls, specify and design new equipment or
tooling as needed, generate databases as needed to track
measurables.Define requirements and specify equipment needed to
perform operation.Oversee the purchase, acceptance test,
installation, verification and validation of new
equipment.Establish inventory locators and populate part dimensions
within Warehouse Management SystemUnderstanding of electrical
equipment design, design components, systems, instruments, and
products. Program plc's and robotic equipment a plus. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES Work with vendors and maintenance technicians
Support engineering resources at sister facilities and partner with
engineering team at those facilities Skills, Experience and
Requirements: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's of Science in
Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and minimum of
three years of experience in an industrial environment. Experience
in distribution center is a plus. AutoCAD knowledge and experience
is required and Solid Works is a plus.MS office and Google suite
experience required.Knowledge of plc technology.Knowledge of
automation equipment such as robotics and automated transportation
of material. SKILLS The ability to present information to top
management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Create
databases to measure identified variables and outputs of the
product. Ability to work in a team environment with maintenance
technicians, production operators, supervisors, and managers. Will
be required to write technical documents and train team members.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and statistical process

programming MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced
mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic
equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical
operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination
of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation
techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete
variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS May be required to
travel and be in possession of a valid personal credit card for

base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation
will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and
competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is
