across various industries. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing
Engineer, Machining for a client in the automotive industry,
specializing in car manufacturing. This is an eight-month contract
position located in Greenville, South Carolina, requiring on-site

PURPOSE: This role is responsible for driving continuous
improvement within machining operations. Working closely with
Manufacturing Engineering and cross-functional teams, the position
focuses on process optimization, support of new product launches,
documentation, and improving process stability, quality, and
overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through hands-on and
data-driven engineering efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and support
continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with
Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) personnel Update and maintain
routings in SAP and support the launch and industrialization of new
product variants Create and maintain work instructions, data
setting sheets, and other machining-related documentation
Collaborate with other MFEs and cross-functional departments to
improve OEE through machining process optimizations Work closely
with machining teams to improve overall process stability and
performance Analyze production data (scrap, quality, downtime) to
define corrective actions and improvement actions with the team
Support and implement hands-on process improvements on the shop
floor QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS degree in Engineering or equivalent
practical experience minimum 5 years in an engineering role
Machining, tool & die, or equivalent apprenticeship or technical
training may be considered in place of a formal degree REQUIRED
SKILLS: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving
skills Hands-on experience driving process improvements in a
machining environment Ability to work cross-functionally with
production, quality, and engineering teams NC / CNC programming
experience, preferably with Siemens 840D Background in machining,
tool & die, or equivalent technical apprenticeship (in lieu of a
formal degree) Ideal experience in gear machining Hands-on
experience with CNC machining and NC programming Experience with
machining processes such as turning, grinding, and hobbing
Automotive machining experience with steel and aluminum components
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is normally performed in an office,
laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where
physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing,
reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able
to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices. FLSA
