Position: Market Manager, Semiconductor Chemicals

Milliken & Company:

In addition, sales and service operations are located throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Position Summary:

The Market Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to drive sales and profitability across the Semiconductor Chemicals portfolio. This role will report to the VP of Fine Chemical Products and will engage consistently in support of the sales team. Key activities supporting this critical function will include:

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive business growth with existing and new customers across an array of products, customers, and market channels

* Support regional commercial teams to drive growth. Develop, execute, and continually monitor communication programs and field visits with the salesforce

* Communicate strategy, tactics, value propositions, and training to help obtain the desired sales goals. Support and actively participate in key account management process

* Coordinate directly with commercial, technical, and operations teams to make portfolio and product decisions, develop business cases for new investments, respond to cutomer requests, and execute contracts to support the product lines

* Work with internal development resources and partners to develop innovative and meaningful solutions that expand the suite of offerings, drive customer value, and create opportunities for revenue growth

* Develop and implement global pricing strategies. Manage price, internal cost analysis, and global product portfolio to maximize sales and profitability. Own and actively pursue pricing strategy in line with business and product line Strategic Plans

* Generate sales forecasts, monitor actual versus planned sales, gross margin control, and work with purchasing and supply chain to monitor raw material supply, production and inventory levels. Initiate corrective action as necessary

* Provide support to our customers and field sales team by either directly responding to product questions, training the sales and customer service teams to respond to product questions, or coordinating with the internal technical and manufacturing teams to develop an appropriate and timely response

* Significant domestic and international travel is envisioned to support the above activities

* Ability to travel 50% of the time

* Highly visible role towards senior management with strong upside potential for the successful candidate

Qualifications:

Experienced leader with track record of developing and implementing new product growth programs in a business to business environment

* A high energy leader, with experience working with global, cross functional teams is preferred and a great sense of ownership: 'it's my business' mentality

* External bias, with experience interviewing customers and other experts in market place to uncover key insights required to develop sound marketing strategies and data

* Ability to function in a hybrid role combining market strategy work with field validation (business development)

* Know how to be strategic with value proposition positioning and drive to meet financial targets

* Experience using advanced statistics and financial tools to build strategy frameworks and decision models

* Strong marketing, technical, & strategic capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

* 10+ years' professional work experience, with expertise in marketing, business development, or sales preferred

* Experience in the Semiconductor market

* MBA or equivalent professional experience

* Technical background is preferred
