Job Description:

The DC Director role is responsible for the development of all processes and procedures with the company president and management including execution of all aspects of the warehousing and fulfillment across the warehouse. The DC Director manages the supervisory staff to ensure that they are meeting all position requirements and that the warehouse is running effectively and abiding by all company policies and procedures. This role oversees and coordinates operational activities for the company to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of warehouse operations.RequirementsScheduling and identifying permanent and temporary staffing needs with input from department managersEnsuring all employees are trained and follow all Standard Operating ProceduresEstablishing employee schedules with input from department managersEnsuring compliance with all federal, state, local and customer required safety requirementsConducting regularly scheduled team meetingsCommunicating effectively and maintaining relationships with subordinates, management, contractors, and customer representativesAnalyzing, revising, and implementing changes to SOPs to achieve defined company goals and profitabilityEstablishing, tracking, and monitoring departmental KPI'sConsistent modeling professionalism and adherence to company values and goalsEnsuring cleanliness and housekeepingApproving special requests affecting the warehouse and communicating the needs to the warehouse staffManaging departmental expense budget to within guidelines and preparing capital requests when neededCoordinating with office staff on a regular basis to ensure all requirements, needs, and service expectations are metMaintaining open and proactive communications with customersEvaluating and recommending automation and technology solutions to improve efficiencies and accuraciesScaling warehouse operations consistent with our growth strategiesProactively employing strategies to mitigate and avoid errorsResponsibilitiesReviewing, developing and implement warehouse SOP's related to productionEvaluating, defining and documenting all warehouse operationsManaging the warehouse managers (so they are managing their team)Creating scheduling and staffing planSupporting the growth of the company as it relates to onboarding and supporting new customers and growth into new marketsGathering necessary information to analyze current efficiencies and recommend opportunities for improvement (time studies, customer feedback)Ensuring things are done in an efficient and cost-effective mannerMaintaining focus on timely and accurate order fulfillmentMaintaining, purchasing and upkeep of all warehouse facility and needsManaging subtenantsAssuming oversight of warehouse, administrative, and operations staffQualificationsMinimum 5 years experience in warehousing, shipping or order fulfillmentMinimum of 5 years supervising team of warehouse staffAbility to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgroundsExperience with warehouse management systemsComfortable in small company environment with broad job responsibilitiesSelf StarterProblem SolverExcellent time-management skillsAccuracy and attention to detail a mustProven ability to execute and implement changes and improvementsExcellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organizational skillsMust be able to manage and prioritize competing deadlinesAble to lift 50 lbs.Proven success in management of peopleCollege degree requiredStrong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience requiredGreenville Area
