Cross Country Locums ( formally MDA ) is seeking a Hospitalist in South Carolina.

Must be Board Certified, actively participating in MOC, CSR and Residency trained in Internal MedicineOpen Dates: Now through 2021

Desired Schedule:Prefer providers that can work 7 days (min. 5 day shifts) Prefer week on/week off with a Tuesday to Monday rotation ( can be flexible as well ) Night shifts are 7p-7aNocturnist will do admissions from the EDThere is a midlevel working swing shift who manages the pager and provides cross coverage calls from 7p-midnight so that the Nocturnist can focus on admissions during the time of highest volume.

Scope of work:The daily patient census per hospitalist is 18-24ppd (avg is 18, high of 24ppd during busy season). Responsibilities: General hospitalist duties to include rounds, admissions, discharge summaries, consultations and H&Ps.

Prefers candidates who are comfortable with code response and procedures although there are Intensivists onsite to handle procedures.There are rapid response teams, run by critical care physicians, who will be the first to responds to codes and handle procedures for the inpatients.

EMR onsite is EPIC. There is mandatory, paid EPIC training/orientation scheduled prior to the provider's first shift.
