a sustainable future! Lab Prep Supervisor -2201517 - Spartanburg,
SC (Converse Site) Where the Chemistry Happens... We are seeking a
professional like you to join our team.In this role, you will be
responsible for the operation and quality of the Converse SPA
(Sample Prep Area).You will perform and train others to perform the
processes to prepare samples for shipment to Assay labs.The SPA
Supervisor will also be responsible for supporting and/or running
investigations of NCMs involving the Sampling and Prelim analysis
process.You will also be responsible for uploading this information
into SAP and providing support for other SAP needs of AutoCat
processing.You will also be required to manage and lead SPA
technicians and coordinate the hiring process for new technicians.

regulations and procedures/policies. Carry out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Interview, hire, and train employees; plan,
assign, and direct work; appraise individual performance; reward
and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Strong communication skills to deliver established goals and
objectives of the operations to your staff Direct and coordinate
activities concerned with production of company product(s) by
performing the duties personally and/or through subordinates.
Confer with management personnel to establish production and
quality control standards, and obtain data regarding types,
quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Order and Maintain stock of consumable supplies. Plan and direct
production activities and establish production priorities for
products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Coordinate production activities with purchasing, maintenance, and
quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human
resources, machines, and equipment. Review and analyze production,
quality control, and maintenance activities. Implement operating
methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and
improve product quality. Assist in revising production schedules
and priorities because of equipment failure or operating problems.
Consult with engineering personnel. Compile, store, and retrieve
production data. Manage Accident Investigations per company
policyQualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher
Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation or equivalentIngredients for Success: What We Look
for in You... High School Diploma or GED with at least 10 years of
related experience within a manufacturing environment; OR
Bachelor's degree with 2-3 year of experience in a
supervisory/leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Solid experience managing large groups of operators. Lean Six Sigma
experience is a plus. Intermediate to advanced computer skills and
excellent math skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence
others. The selected candidate must be willing and able to work
rotating shifts based on site need. Must be able to lift to 40
pounds. SAP Knowledge Required Quality and Lab Experience highly
preferred EHS and ERP involvement highly preferred Experience with
Lab equipment and closely following policies, procedures and
standards required Experience with pilot plant and startup
