Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, within the
School of Medicine is pleased to announce an opening for a Nurse
Practitioner Specialty Care to join their expanding team.The
Department of Medicine's mission is to provide the best care to

and medical education in 10 core divisions.Roles And
Responsibilities
- To provide health care to patients through the use of the
nursing process by collaborating with other health professionals
and performing assigned duties in an acute care setting.
- Performs patient triage and patient management for acute
symptom management related to oncologic treatment.
- Provides information to patients and families related to
symptom management and psychosocial response to the diagnosis of
cancer and related treatment.
- Obtain and document comprehensive patient health history and
perform physical examination, to be countersigned by
physician.
- Order and/or perform pertinent diagnostic tests agreed upon by
the physician and analyze collected data to determine health
status.
- Monitor patient condition, laboratory values, and results of
diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with the physician and other health care
professionals in the development of treatment goals and care plans
and coordinate services and treatments to implement and accomplish
these goals and plans.
- Record all patient data, including history and physical
examination, problems identified, intervention provided results of
care, and plans for follow-up or referral.
- Evaluate current research and apply the findings
clinically.

outlinedShift40 hours per weekMinimum QualificationsNURSE
PRACTITIONER SPECIALTY CARE (6435)Master of Science in Nursing
degree.Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact
multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact
state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty
(30) days.Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the
Missouri Board of Nursing.PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT SPECIALTY CARE
(6804)Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State
Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.Preferred
QualificationsLicense and current registration to practice in
state.Graduate from nurse practitioner program.Master's degree in
nursing.Preferred One Full-time Year Of Post-licensure Clinical
Nursing Experience.Privileges or eligibility to apply per
institutional policy/procedure.Anticipated Hiring RangeSalary
Range: $90,251 - $118,768 annuallyGrade: PAT - 012University Title:
