Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: RN

12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in
Labor and Delivery License: Required licensure Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, EFM, NRP Must-Have: Ability to work in a Labor, Delivery,
Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) setting Description: Responsible
for providing quality care to patients in labor and delivery, as
well as postpartum and newborn care. Assist with labor management
and the management of cesarean sections. Perform pre-operative and
post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) responsibilities. Triage patients
effectively and provide resuscitation for newborns when needed.
Manage Pitocin and epidural administration as part of patient care.
Coordinate and collaborate with charge nurses and available
resource nurses. Monitor patients using fetal monitoring and
telemetry technology. Participate in the care of 4 to 6 patients on
average per day. Provide support for patients in various stages of
labor with defined patient ratios. Be willing to float to other
facilities within the designated region as needed. Work with a team
that prioritizes teamwork and support. Expectation to work a
rotating weekend schedule every other week and contribute during
holidays. Recommended to have strong skills in labor and delivery
nursing practices. Utilize electronic medical records and equipment
specific to the unit's needs.
