Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,026 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Neuro and Trauma Care experience - Candidates must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Description: The Progressive Care Unit has 44 beds. There are 95 staff members on the unit. Staff consists of Charge Nurses, RNs, CNAs, and Health Unit Coordinators. Patient ratios are typically 4:1 at grid and may stretch to 5:1. The equipment used includes IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and patient lifts. Electronic Medical Record system is Cerner. Typical procedures performed include neuro and spinal checks, C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube insertion, PCA pump management, IV infusions, lumbar drain placement, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions. The ideal candidate is a team player and patient-focused. Floating may occur to stepdown units and med-surg units. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
