Certified Surgical Technologist Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,241 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: Surgical Technologist Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 16:30 Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: Certification is mandatory Must-Have: - CVOR experience - 2 travel assignments completed Description: Certification is mandatory. Must have CVOR experience and 2 travel assignments under their belt. No exceptions. The facility is licensed for 815 beds. The organization has been recognized for providing high clinical quality year over year. It has received an A grade for safety, nationally recognizing achievements in protecting patients. The organization earned the prestigious Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. It serves as the region’s referral center for a Level II trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center. The facility provides the only open-heart and interventional cardiology services in the region. Candidates should be ready for a career opportunity with the organization. The unit has 4 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1. Staff includes RNs and support personnel. The type of equipment includes monitoring systems and imaging devices. Familiarity with the documentation system is required. Scheduling is done Monday through Friday from 0500 to 1330 with on-call requirements. Floating may occur within the scope of practice and experience. Critical care experience is a must; PreOp experience is a plus. Candidates should have excellent documentation skills and the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills with interdepartmental teams are essential. Good critical thinking skills are required. Advanced skills are needed for tasks such as IV starts and medication administration. The unit performs various procedures, including patient transport to the operating room and assisting with induction. A required uniform will be provided.
