Location: Columbia, MO Start Date: 02-16-2026 End Date: 05-18-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30
AM (night shift). Schedule options available to meet a 36 or 48
hour guaranteed work week; specific days vary based on unit
staffing and patient needs. Hours per Week: 36 Candidate Pay Rate:

Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care
on a progressive care/stepdown unit during night shifts. Manage
vasoactive drip titration and closely monitor hemodynamic status
for unstable patients. Perform line and vascular device management
including PICC/central lines, A-lines, and dialysis fistula care.
Lead airway support tasks including CPAP/BiPAP management and trach
care when required. Administer and monitor epidural/PCA pumps and
feeding tubes safely and effectively. Operate and troubleshoot
common unit equipment such as IV pumps, PCA pumps, bladder
scanners, and wound VACs. Interpret telemetry and cardiac
monitoring data and respond to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care,
handoffs, and patient-centered discharge planning. Qualifications
Active RN license in Missouri or eligibility via nurse licensure
compact Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
Proven experience in stepdown/PCU or telemetry nursing preferred
Comfort and demonstrated skill with IV insertion, central line
care, and vasoactive medication titration Experience with advanced
monitoring (A-line/CVP) and post-procedure care (sheath removal,
cardioversion/defibrillation) is a plus Strong critical thinking,
effective communication, and teamwork skills Education Associate
Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN);
BSN preferred Knowledge & Skills Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
interpretation Vasoactive drip titration and hemodynamic assessment
PICC/central line and A-line management Dialysis fistula care and
vascular access knowledge CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, and other airway
management skills Epidural/PCA pump and feeding tube management
Wound VAC operation and basic wound care principles Familiarity
with bladder scanners, IV/PCA pumps, SCDs, and high-flow oxygen
