Job Description Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Location: South Carolina (Onsite) Shift & Schedule Shift: Night Shift Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Weekends: Every other weekend required Role Overview The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a Family Birthplace / LDRP setting with integrated nursery responsibilities. This role supports a Baby-Friendly facility and requires strong clinical skills across labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery, and OB triage environments. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 nursing care for active labor and magnesium sulfate patients Manage inductions, postpartum couplet care, and acute care nursery patients Support LDRP model, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care Perform OB triage assessments and assist with GYN surgical patient care Serve in circulator role when required Conduct newborn hearing screenings Administer medications using automated dispensing systems Maintain accurate documentation using Epic Patient Ratios Labor: 1:1 Cytotec inductions: 1:2 Magnesium patients: 1:1 Couplet (mother/baby) care: 1:3 Sick nursery: 1:1 Requirements Active RN state license Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience Certifications Required: BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate Epic experience: Minimum 1 year required Ability to take call and float as needed For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807 .
