Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western
North Carolina Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Asheville,
North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified
applicants Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling based
on departmental needs; no block scheduling available Highlights:
101-bed Emergency Department in a Level 1 Trauma Center with
comprehensive stroke designation High-volume facility serving over
100,000 annual visits in a vibrant, multicultural community
representing more than 120 languages Patient ratios typically 4:1
for medical patients; support from ED techs, unit clerks, and
specialized cardiac monitoring staff Advanced documentation system
(Cerner) with GE monitors and Baxter pumps Internal float
opportunities within multiple ED sections to expand clinical
expertise Department recognized for exceptional teamwork and
welcoming culture focused on patient experience excellence
Requirements: Active Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of
nursing experience with at least 1 year in Emergency Department
setting Level 1 Emergency Department Charge Nurse experience
required ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications
required before start date ENPC certification within 90 days of
hire Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke
center, or high-volume ED (100,000 annual visits) preferred
Demonstrated ability to coach staff and provide real-time feedback
Flexibility to work across all Emergency Department sections Why
