Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exemplary care in inpatient rehabilitation settings. In this role, you will work under the supervision of our physical therapists to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, focusing on mobility, strengthening, and pain management after an injury or illness. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, committed to ongoing professional development, and capable of working effectively in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team environment. Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve patient's functional abilities. Monitor patient responses to treatment and report outcomes to the supervising physical therapist. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and usage of mobility aids. Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with all legal requirements. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle physical demands of patient assistance and transport Knowledge of therapeutic treatment and techniques Proficiency in using physical therapy equipment and tools Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR certification preferred
