Ultrasound Tech Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: TalentBurst Inc.
Pay: $2,161 to $2,248 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 4 days
x 9 hours Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Title-Ultrasound
Technologist About Facility: o Total licensed beds are 373 (344
acute = 29 IP Rehab). Of those, approximately 46 are ICU beds, with
approximately 40 progressive care beds. We also have approximately
70 observation beds. o We do not have a Trauma Designation. The ED
is 30 beds. o We offer X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional
Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support.
Department Information: o Our IP Census is around 400. o We perform
an average of 48 studies/day, more during the week, less on
weekends. o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 yrs o Will you
accept a first-time traveler? yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o
We serve IP, Obs, OP, and ED patients. o Ultrasound services we
provide include general, vascular, OBGYN, small parts, and
ultrasound guided invasive procedures. o Our Ultrasound team
rotates to our on-campus Rehab facility to provide ultrasound
imaging. Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS,
ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as
Driver's License and/or Insurance: o Certified by the American
Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of
Radiologic Technologist (S) required. o BLS Skills required: o
Invasive procedures such as paracentesis/thoracentesis. General,
limited OB, and vascular studies including, but not limited to,
ABI/WBI/TBI, upper and lower arterial, upper and lower venous,
venous insufficiency, temporal arteries, palmar arch studies, upper
and lower extremity vein mapping, arterial thoracic outlet studies,
AVF mapping, pseudoaneurysm eval, carotid, liver doppler, renal
artery, liver/renal transplant, TIPS, aorta, appendix,
intussusception, pyloric, breast limited (r/o abscess only), chest,
OB 1st/2nd/3rd limited, neonatal cranial, testicular, soft tissue
and hernia evaluation. Support within the Department: o Guest
Services/Transport for IP & Obs patients that require transport to
the department. o Radiologist onsite 7 days per week from 0800-1700
o Radiologist Client onsite weekdays 0700-1630 and weekends
1200-1630 Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o RIS: Epic Radiant o
PACS: Philips iSite o Department specific Equipment: Siemens
Sequoias Parks FlowLab Trophon Floating: No Orientation (facility
and unit): o Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy
review, etc.) 1 day o 2 days to 10 days departmental (as needed)

The Ultrasound Technologist prioritizes and coordinates ultrasound
exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians.
Performs ultrasound exams in accordance with departmental protocols
and standards. Provides adequate patient care as it relates to the
exam requested. Operates ultrasound and associated equipment with
proficiency. Major Responsibilities Examines requests and verifies
orders on each assigned patient Assists Radiologist in performance
of invasive procedures Evaluates technical quality of exam and
develops a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the
department Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care
Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver,
whose role is to meet the needs of each patient. Reports
malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead
Sonographer and/or Engineer. Operates the Radiology computer system
to include entering and charging exams and supplies. Maintains
assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Assists in
keeping the area completely stocked. Adheres to departmental rules
and regulations while performing in a professional manner always
Interpersonal skills required Minimum Job Requirements Education
Certification / License Certification by the American Registry of
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or if a new graduate, registry
eligible New graduates must pass their registry within one year or
employment date BLS required per policy guidelines. Preferred Job
Requirements Completion of a comprehensive, medical diagnostic
ultrasound program Physical Requirements Requires moderate to heavy
physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and
supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance. Work requires walking,
standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting
during normal operation. Requires mental skills to read and
comprehend patient orders and technical materials. Motor
coordination needed to operate heavy and delicate equipment. Intact
