This position requires expertise in stringed instrument construction, maintenance, and repair. The ideal candidate will handle the customization and restoration of guitars and other stringed instruments, ensuring they meet the professional standards and specific needs of our customers. As a Luthier at Guitar Center, you will contribute directly to the musical journey of our customers by maintaining the quality and playability of their instruments. Inspect, repair, and restore stringed instruments, particularly guitars Customize instruments to customer specifications Advise customers on maintenance and care of instruments Maintain inventory of parts and supplies Collaborate with sales staff to provide expert advice on instrument selection Extensive knowledge of stringed instrument construction and repair Proficiency in using luthier tools and machinery Strong attention to detail and precision Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification from a recognized luthiery school is highly regarded
