Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/08/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work in 20-bed progressive care unit (PCU) serving as inpatient overflow with mixed level of care • Care for medical surgical and/or step-down patients with short stay ( • Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 stretch depending on level of care required • Every other weekend required, no on-call responsibilities • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs • Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs • Work with telemetry equipment - all patients hardwired to bedside monitors when indicated • Use Cerner electronic medical record system • Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience • Recent progressive care experience strongly preferred • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Required to float to other units as needed • Dress code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white • Ideal candidate has positive attitude, patient experience focus, kind, compassionate, and works well as team player Facility: This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit located on the main campus D corridor, providing specialized care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
