ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Trauma ICU Job Details: • Work in a 20-bed Surgical/Trauma ICU at a Level I Trauma Center • Maintain 1:2 patient ratios • Must have trauma ICU experience from Level I or Level II Trauma Centers • Surgical ICU experience required (no LTAC experience accepted) • Required certifications: Valid Nursing License, Active ACLS and BLS Certifications • Required to work 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule • Modified self-scheduling available • Floating policy: Travelers float before core staff to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down units • Dress code: All navy or all white scrubs, or navy bottoms with white top • Work with advanced equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blankets, Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and Alaris PCA pumps • Use Cerner Power Chart documentation system • Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, and minor surgery • Must demonstrate team player mentality with positive attitude and flexibility • Provide kind, compassionate patient care Facility: This healthcare organization operates as a Level I Trauma Center and is recognized as a Magnet Hospital.
