working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Charlotte, North Carolina, 28203! Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele

License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - General
Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm
interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT
placement, drain/tube management, foley insertion/management. -
Medication management, including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood
products, IV fluids. Description: The role is for a MedSurg/Tele RN
in a large facility. The facility has 874 licensed beds and is
recognized as a teaching hospital with trauma and specialty
centers. The unit consists of multiple med-surg and med-tele
divisions with a primary focus on decompressing emergency
departments and other specialty areas. Patient demographics include
adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation,
pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, falls with injuries, motor vehicle
accidents with injuries, pulmonary embolism, DVT, UTI,
pneumothorax, and GI bleeds. Patient ratios vary by unit, generally
1:4 to 1:6, depending on acuity. Support within the department
includes CNAs for vital signs, hygiene care, and assisting with
patient needs. There is administrative support for answering calls,
chart management, and supply ordering. Resource nurses provide
additional staffing support as needed. The role requires floating
to other units based on the regional needs and the nurse's scope of
practice. All floating is done within the established regions as
necessary. There is a weekend rotation requirement and an
expectation to work a majority of holidays. Approval may be granted
for up to six days off during the contract, excluding holidays. The
