Job Description:
HCA Healthcare, a premier provider of healthcare services, is
seeking a committed Nurse Extern PRN (per diem) for our Emergency
Room department. In this dynamic role, you will be given a unique
opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in a
high-pressure ER environment, supporting nurses and medical staff
in delivering exceptional emergency care. This position is designed
for nursing students who are eager to learn and contribute to
patient care while completing their studies. Assist registered
nurses and other medical staff in the delivery of patient care.
Monitor and record vital signs, and report any significant changes
to the nursing staff. Help in the preparation and maintenance of
patient rooms and equipment. Assist patients with basic needs, such
as dressing, bathing, or eating. Provide emotional support to
patients and families in emergency situations. Help manage patient
flow and update records accurately and timely. Learn and follow
safety protocols specific to the emergency department. Basic
patient care and safety. Knowledge of emergency response and urgent
care processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Detail-oriented with
