What You ll Do
- Provide clinical care for neonatal patients in
a 16-suite Level III NICU environment.
- Collaborate with in-house daytime neonatology
coverage and support coverage needs through coordinated
shift responsibilities.
- Deliver neonatal nurse practitioner care across typical NICU
needs, including support for newborn nursery
coverage as assigned.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside
neonatologists and NNPs.
- Participate in team-based care delivery to support
approximately 320 admissions and 1900 births
annually.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and clinical standards
consistent with NICU practice.
- Provide continuity of care aligned with unit workflow and shift
coverage expectations.
What You Need
Required
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Board
Certification (no other NP certifications accepted)
- 2+ years of employment experience as an NNP
(RN experience does not count toward this requirement)
- Not a new graduate (new grads not
accepted)
- Not accepting locums candidates
Preferred
- Experience supporting both NICU and newborn nursery
coverage in a team-based setting.
About the Assignment
This is an immediate, full-time opportunity for an experienced
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a 16-bed Level III
NICU practice at a leading regional hospital in
the Gastonia, NC area. The unit operates with neonatology
coverage supported by a team of NNPs, including collaboration to
help with newborn nursery coverage. The role is designed for an
experienced NNP who thrives in a structured NICU care
environment.
