Manages Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) for ISS at a key
account across the United States and Canada. Applies EHS principles
and practices to develop, implement and manage EHS programs,
policies and procedures. Develop EHS Systems and best practices to
drive and create culture change.
- Partners with site leaders to ensure implementation of EHS
programs and systems and integrates EHS into daily work
- Utilizes professional EHS principles, concepts and independent
judgment to develop and design practical solutions to complex EHS
- Provides leadership and direction to achieve the EHS vision
through management commitment and employee ownership.
- Identifies risk and unsafe practices associated with the
management of contractors and principal liabilities.
- Implements EHS Corporate processes and systems on the
- Liaises and supports ISS third parties (i.e. Workers
Compensation and Property Insurance Carriers) and develops
responses to address identified concerns.
- Develops and tracks EHS training to ensure compliance with
regulatory and account mandated requirements.
- Effectively communicates the EHS vision and performance to
internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor of Science degree or the equivalent experience is
required. Specialization in Occupational Safety, Safety Science,
and Environmental Health is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing
EHS programs, procedures & processes required.
Ability to apply broad work experience and knowledge when
analyzing complex problems.
Demonstrated leadership, influencing and collaboration
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to lead and influence teams and individual
Thorough knowledge of electrical safety programs such as LOTO
and NFPA 70E as well as machine guarding policies.
Knowledge of state and federal laws/environmental, health and
safety regulatory compliance and basic understanding of reports
such as Tier II, Form R, air emissions and water discharges.
Ability to use and leverage standard office systems such as
Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, necessary to support EHS.

- Ability to travel 25 40%.
Ability to obtain Professional Certifications (CSP, CHMM, etc.)
is highly desirable.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious
places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals;
outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
