Spartan Financial Partners, a division of ACA, specializes in providing capital solutions including Lines of Credit and Bulk Purchases for Buy Here Pay Here dealers and Independent Auto Finance companies across the country.This position will support ACA's Legal Department, with a concentration on privacy and data security, and all duties are performed under the supervision of an attorney. Areas of responsibilities will include:+ Privacy Office Support+ Monitor and advise on privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices relating to data privacy and compliance obligations+ Support development of strategic initiatives to address evolving privacy matters+ Review and revise new and existing privacy and data governance policies and related procedures+ Assist with responding to questions from the business regarding privacy and data governance issues and compliance+ Support development and implementation of privacy and data governance training+ Assist with the implementation of the Records Retention Policy within ACA and with vendors+ Legal Research Requests+ Review and prepare draft responses to legal requests from the business, including initial factual analysis and supervised legal research+ Interface and communicate with other departments to obtain/clarify facts relating to incoming requests and follow up with the business, as needed+ Consumer Complaints+ Review, research, and prepare draft responses to consumer complaints received from state and federal agencies and other outside sources+ Perform root cause analysis and provide suggested process improvements, where appropriate+ Prepare and present executive-level complaint summaries+ Other Duties+ Maintain company legal files and records in an organized and accessible manner+ Perform other support assistance as determined by department needsQualifications+ Bachelor's Degree+ Excellent analytical skills, strong sense of initiative and organization, and excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties + Proficient in MS Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and internet navigation + Paralegal, notary certification, and/or experience in privacy and data governance a plus, but not required+ Experience with an in-house legal department a plusSupervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment and Physical Demands: This job operates in a professional office environment.
