'21 Financial Stability VISTA Leader- VISTAs in the Piedmont
NOTE: Candidates must have completed a term of service with
AmeriCorps, VISTA, or completed more than 50% of a Peace Corps term
to be eligible to serve as a VISTA Leader. As a VISTA Leader with
United Way of the Piedmont, you will work as part of a team of two
VISTA Leaders to guide a team of 18-20 VISTAs whose service is
focused on increasing access to healthcare, quality education, and
financial stability (all serving at different, local host-sites on
individual projects in Spartanburg, Cherokee & Union Counties).

Leaders are hosted by United Way of the Piedmont, located in
Spartanburg, SC. Your role encompasses coaching and supporting
individual members, planning professional development and service
opportunities, and serving as a liaison between United Way, our
community partners, and the VISTA members. The goal of this VISTA
Leader position is to coach members for individual success as well
as guide the cohorts' team projects. All work will be done under

Member Duties : As a VISTA Leader you will plan & facilitate
weekly VISTA member professional development, assess and enhance
administrative processes, and help gather data from host-sites &
members for quarterly reports. You will serve as a resource for the
VISTA members & supervisors in the Health & Education cohort and
serve on a team to coordinate MLK Day of Service & AmeriCorps Week.
The VISTA Leader will also support recruitment efforts, and support
VISTA members through service year.
