Our 540 Bed Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital offers a wide range of services and is part of an organization with 6 acute care facilities, over 10,000 team members and 400 volunteers. 4 Tower is a 28 bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability and specializes in General Surgery. Some of the specialty surgeries include colon resections, whipple procedures, gallbladder removals and thyroidectomies. 4 Tower also cares for trauma patients which include gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents and wound management. Staff on this unit are exposed to a wide variety of patient populations with tubes, drains and lines. The staffing is comprised of RNs, LPNs, PCAs and Unit Ambassadors. Staff believe teamwork is essential to providing excellent patient care. On this unit, you will find a warm group of professional, nurturing and clinically proficient individuals to assist you in adapting to your potential role as a registered nurse. 4 Tower is well rounded and able to give compassionate care to patients with multiple medical needs.

The Registered Nurse recognizes, and addresses patient needs or issues to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction, quality, and outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides, directs, and coordinates professional nursing care for all patients following established clinical nursing standards and practices. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, nursing judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Participates in interdepartmental collaboration with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery to achieve the highest level of desired patient outcomes.



Licenses/Certificates:
--- Current RN License to practice in South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement.
--- Certifications required upon hire or attended during orientation
Med Surg: BLS, ACLS and Arrhythmia
