Safety Coordinator will implement and oversee safety standards,
programs, and procedures that meet all applicable local, state, and
federal regulations; responsibilities include educating site team
members and assistance in building a safety culture driven by all
team members while focusing on prevention and reducing
injuries.Conduct safety audits within the facility to pinpoint
unsafe working conditions, behaviors, practices, and developing
sound recommendations for correctionsAttend safety walks and
inspections to analyze safety risksEducate and train team members
on safety standards and expectationsCoordinate industrial hygiene
testing and implement corrective action, if requiredOversee and
provide safety-related training that is required to remain in
compliance with all applicable regulationsUpdate management on the
status of Oshkosh's safety program through monthly and quarterly
reportsLiaise with outside organizations in facilitating emergency
response planningAssist in training initiatives throughout the team
member's work cycleInspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to
identify and correct potential hazardsLead implementation of the
Oshkosh Safety management System at the facilityStrengthen and lead
the site ergonomics programOrganize, plan, and steer the Safety
Representative Program to ensure that Oshkosh team members are
provided a safe workplaceCoordinate with manufacturing and
engineering on the design and construction of new equipment,
facilities, and processes to ensure safe designAssist in
coordinating incident and near miss investigations and ensuring
implementation of corrective and preventative measuresOther duties,
as assignedABOUT YOU:Bachelor's Degree in safety, Industrial
Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field; and/or equivalent
work experienceAt least 1-2 years' relevant experienceUnderstanding
of OSHA, federal, and state safety requirementsAbility to establish
effective and professional relationships with team members
throughout the organizationProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to
build trust and work collaborativelyExcellent organizational
skillsCapable of communicating at all levels of the organization
and providing feedback and recommendations as it relates to a safe
work environmentAttention to detail, must possess a keen eye for
detail and potential risksWHAT MAKES YOU EXCEL:ASP Certification2-3
years' experience in a safety coordinator role, preferably in
manufacturing environmentAir permitting experienceOshkosh is
