Descriptions & Qualifications - External Position Overview: - Quad/Graphics is seeking a UV Pressman for our Sheetfed department for our Spartanburg location. This position is responsible for set up and operation of Press equipment to customer-supplied specifications while maintaining production by planning and organizing jobs and continuously monitoring quality. -Examines job ticket to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special instructions. Examines printed copy for correct density, correct registration and position. Professionalism is required to all internal and external customers.
Also, directs the crew and performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operations of the press, and must be able to train others. - - Required Qualifications: Successful candidates must meet the following requirements: - -
- - - - - - Minimum of 3 years -as a Lead Pressman and/or 5-7 -years as a 2nd -Pressman experience; In depth knowledge of U.V. as well as conventional printing processes, mechanics and capabilities of press; mechanical aptitude; requires experience running, troubleshooting and quality control. -

Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in a controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a part of the job. Ability to work overtime. - - Ability to pass a Color Test is required.
