strategic and creative Director of Marketing to elevate our brand,
expand our reach, and drive our mission across the Upstate SC
region and emerging markets in Tennessee and North Carolina. WhatWe

Director of Marketing leads the strategy, development, and
execution of marketing, communications, and event initiatives that
enhance the visibility and impact of the Charles Lea Center. This
role manages organizational branding, messaging, digital presence,
public relations, and major event leadership. The Marketing
Director plays a key role in supporting recruitment efforts,
launching new services or programs, and strengthening community
engagement. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Marketing & Planning
Develop annual and long-term marketing and communications plans
aligned with organizational goals. Identify target audiences and
build strategies to drive awareness, engagement, referrals, and
partnerships. Support growth in TN and NC through localized
outreach and brand expansion. Develop marketing strategies for new
service brands. Brand & Communications Management Maintain brand
standards and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Develop key messaging supporting mission impact, services, and
donor engagement. Provide communication support for executive and
organizational announcements. Ensure content reflects dignity,
inclusion, and respect for individuals and families served. Digital
Marketing & Website Oversight Manage website content strategy,
accuracy, accessibility, SEO, and regular updates. Oversee social
media planning, campaign execution, and digital engagement. Lead
creation of digital and print marketing content, including
graphics, presentations, brochures, and reports. Coordinate
photography and videography to support storytelling and
recruitment. Event Strategy, Planning & Execution (Leadership Role)
Lead planning, promotion, and execution of major organizational
events, including: Annual Meeting Nature Preserve at Lake Blalock
Opening Celebrating Excellence Awards Ceremony Staff Longevity
Awards Additional events as assigned Responsibilities include
developing marketing plans, managing logistics, coordinating
vendors, creating promotional materials, overseeing media
communication, and leading event branding. Community Engagement &
Recruitment Support Develop materials for community presentations,
outreach events, and workforce recruitment. Support HR recruiting
through employment branding and job marketing strategies.
Coordinate with Human Resources to strengthen candidate engagement
and workforce messaging. Public Relations Build relationships with
media outlets across SC, TN, and NC. Write and distribute press
releases; coordinate media coverage for major announcements.
Support crisis communication planning and response as needed.
Marketing for ForProfit Initiatives Support branding, messaging,
and marketing campaigns for new revenuegenerating ventures. Ensure
clear differentiation between nonprofit and for-profit messaging
while maintaining brand integrity. Analytics & Reporting Monitor
key metrics across digital platforms and campaigns. Use analytics
to refine strategies and optimize engagement and reach. What Youll
Need: Minimum age: 18 Bachelors degree in Marketing,
Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
(required). Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in
marketing/communications (nonprofit preferred). Experience managing
branding and multi-channel marketing campaigns. Experience with
content management systems (CMS), digital communication tools, and
SEO. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and marketing platforms
(e.g., Canva/Adobe, email marketing tools, social schedulers).
Experience marketing services in human services, healthcare,
hospitality, or mission-driven organizations (preferred). Ready to
