Job Description:
Description SUMMARY:Provides technical skills and knowledge for
all low electrical equipment across the enterprise. Installs,
modifies, responsible for repairs of equipment reported as failing,
and provides technical advice and support to system
users.QUALIFICATIONS:--- Two year degree from an accredited
Technical, Vocational, or Community College. --- CompTIA A+
certification required. --- A minimum of three years of on-the-job
experience--- Valid driver's license required for off-site
assignments--- Must be able to do over night assignments---
Experience with Microsoft OS, or comparable, and Office Suite
software--- The ability to meet an assigned work scheduleDUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:--- Fabricate network cables when
necessary.--- Install network cable on demand--- Installs hardware
and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers,
kiosks, mobile devices, phones, camera's, multi-purpose devices,
UPS devices, etc.--- Loads appropriate software packages such as
operating systems, networking components, and office applications,
etc.--- Provides telephone, in-person and online support to
end-users.--- Coordinates activities with Systems Administrator and
other Information Systems staff.--- Provides updates, status and
completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail,
email or in-person communication.--- Connects users to networks,
active directory maintenance, email account assignments, DHG active
directory, and also provides initial training on how to use
equipment and software in facilities, and Corporate office, as
needed.--- Maintains documentation of the destruction and disposal
of retired equipment.--- Identifies, and researches for the
procurement of hardware, software, and printer supplies needed to
satisfy user requirements.--- Prepare and submit vendor warranty
claims, parts, and documentation associated with warranty repairs
(with authorization from vendors).--- Checks daily trouble ticket
software for assignments--- Input trouble tickets when confronted
with situations of equipment not being reported until on site.---
Performs preventive maintenance for computer, data communications,
and /or peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate
standards, on a routinely basis.--- Maintains network design
schema/changes, network device documentation on various
spreadsheets.--- Develop and maintain hardware inventory and
tracking systems, for all equipment quoted, approved, purchased,
who it was for, lifetime usage, through destruction.--- Responsible
for onsite inventory of network devices and maintains the
identification of equipment via Visio on electronic floor plans.---
Uses portable computer provided to position, when in facilities for
the purpose of troubleshooting, testing, documentation of network
ports, telephone jacks, and electronic equipment to Visio
floorplans. --- Assists in moving equipment at the request of
Administration in Facilities, when possible.--- Assists in the
implementation and training of Cisco phone systems in
organization.--- Protects organization's value by keeping
information confidential.--- Provides Helpdesk Level 2 duties, only
in the absence of designated personnel--- Good understanding of the
organizations goals and objectives.--- Knowledge of applicable data
privacy practices and laws.--- Contributes to the Frequently Asked
Questions Library. Requirements Desktop Support, Basic Network
