Day Shift Production SupervisorTHIS JOB IS LOCATED IN YORK, SOUTH CAROLINAOx Paper Tube & Core Carolina LLC, York, SC, USSalary Range: $65-70k based on experience.REQUIRED SKILLS: MUST HAVE AT LEAST two years in the paper industry. Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, Legal, Company Paid Short Term Disability and Life Insurance, Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match.Job Title: Production Supervisor - Days (6:30am - 5:00 pm)Summary of duties: --Supervises production staff including scheduling machines/order runs, planning and assigning work, production reporting, and raw material inventory. The Production Supervisor implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment reliability, operating procedures, and working conditions. The Production Supervisor is on-call continuously and may be called back to the plant during off-duty hours. --The Production Supervisor position is a hands-on position requiring them to perform any position out on the production floor at any given time based on the situation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:------- ----Work to continuously improve productivity in all areas, balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results.----- ----Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment, and machine operations which may lead to human injury and/or property damage.----- ----Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and waste.----- ----Directly responsible for employee training, coaching, and discipline when necessary. ------- ----Implement and monitor performance tracking metrics to identify Losses using Continuous Improvement models.----- ----Work effectively and relate well with others. Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. --High School diploma or GED preferred. --Less than high school education with 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day.
