Spartan is located in the Upstate of South Carolina.--The location provides a few hours' drive to the beach and less than an hour to the mountains. It is a scenic area in which to live and a prime location to further a career.--Spartan prides itself in providing a fast-paced, continuously-changing environment that is ideal for self-starting individuals who can work in both an individual and team atmosphere.Spartan's software and IT services solutions has been delivering quality software and services since 1999.--Our case management software, geared toward legal, judicial, and social services professionals, offers prosecuting attorneys, public defenders, courts, social services, and other agencies the ability to manage large caseloads efficiently.--Additionally, our technology services provide business analysis, development services, and project management to agencies and companies of all types.All candidates must have a personal commitment to excellence and customer service as well as several years of successful software or technology sales experience.--Experience in Case Management Solutions and IT Services at the state and local government level is a major plus.--Experience in a technical capacity as an analyst or project manager for clients or partners within the Government Industry is also a plus. This position will regularly communicate with other company departments to ensure that, 1) they are educated about the latest product releases, and 2) the other internal business units are kept abreast of the changing needs of the client base. The ability to multi-task and pay extra attention to detail is a must.Responsibilities* Must be able to maintain excellent command of the features and functionality offered by Spartan's Suite of applications and scope of services available* Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations for generating sales of Spartan's products and services* Ability to discuss technical products and their benefits, features and advantages over competitive products* Generate leads and conduct software demonstrations to prospects* Manages long/complex sales cycle from beginning to end* Generates revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales* Assist in drafting responses to government RFPs* Develop appropriate sales collateral (brochures, white papers, case studies, presentations) and distribute appropriately* Create software demonstration recordings for prospects.* Meet sales quota* Perform other duties as assignedQualifications* Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required* Previous technology/software sales experience* Experience in the Judicial/Legal market a plus* Experience in ERP software sales a plus* Proven success in B2B sales* Attention to detail* Experience or desire to make a difference with a small agile company looking for substantial growth* Must be able to negotiate complex deals* Must be comfortable communicating with senior decision makers and technical IT resources * Attendance and participation in Trade Shows and other industry related marketing activities* Excellent presentation skills and comfortable with presenting to small (1-20 people) and larger audiences (20-100 people)* Ability to field a broad range of questions and respond to prospects in an appropriate manner* Maintain travel schedule and track all travel expenses* Self-directed, proactive, analytical and organized* Expertise in computer knowledge and MS Office Proficiency* Pass federal background checkAdditional Position Expectations:* Stay current with technological trends in the Judicial/Legal industry* Working with Grants* Understanding government purchasing guidelines and awardsSalary, Commission and Benefits:Company offers a base salary plus commission with solid opportunity for growth.* Available Group Medical/Dental/Vision, Life, Company percentage matching IRA plan, Vacations, Holidays, Sick Days * Position to be based in Upstate South CarolinaNote: Technology sales experience is a key requirement.*Include salary and total compensation expectations when applying.
